The Housekeeper (Bathroom and Pause Areas) is responsible for ensuring the smooth running and effective delivery of cleaning services for all bathrooms, passageways, and pause areas within the building. Ad-hoc cleaning duties may also be required as operational needs arise.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Bathroom Cleaning:
Refill paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap dispensers.
Disinfect toilets, urinals, and sanitary bins.
Clean mirrors, glass surfaces, and window ledges.
Disinfect all bathroom touchpoints including door handles, locks, taps, and towel dispensers.
Wipe and disinfect tiles, basins, and countertops.
Sweep and mop all bathroom floors regularly throughout the day.
Remove litter and ensure bins are emptied and sanitised.
Conduct hourly checks to maintain continuous cleanliness standards.
Perform scheduled weekly deep cleaning of all bathroom areas.
Report any maintenance issues, leaks, or damages immediately to the Team Leader.
Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained and flagged when low.
Maintain hygiene compliance at all times in line with health and safety standards.
Passageway Cleaning:
Sweep and mop all passageways daily.
Vacuum carpets and mats where applicable.
Wipe down handrails, doors, and touchpoints.
Remove litter and maintain cleanliness throughout the day.
Pause Area Cleaning:
Wipe down tables, counters, and chairs.
Empty garbage bins and replace garbage bags.
Clean sinks and pause area appliances where applicable.
Refill hand soap and paper towel dispensers.
Maintain cleanliness throughout the day.
Safety, Health & Environment:
Maintain and uphold health and safety standards at all times.
Report all hazards immediately.
Actively contribute to a positive safety culture.
Target zero Lost Time Injuries (LTIs) and minimal incidents.
Chemical Use & Record-Keeping:
Measure and use cleaning chemicals correctly and safely.
Maintain accurate chemical usage records for the Team Leader.
Equipment Maintenance:
Upkeep and service housekeeping equipment.
Report breakages and required replacements to the Team Leader promptly.
Stock Management
Provide daily stock usage reports.
Submit weekly stock takes to the Team Leader.
Events Set Up:
Assist with event set up, e.g. packing, carrying of equipment, etc.
Professional Conduct:
Maintain good time and attendance.
Demonstrate strong work ethics and a reliable, professional attitude.
Adhoc Handyman:
Assist the maintenance team as and when needed with handyman tasks.
COMPETENCIES
Knowledge:
Proven track record of cleaning and sanitising washrooms, showers, fixtures, and furniture.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment properly and safely.
Knowledge of restocking consumable supplies.
Knowledge of meeting room set-up procedures.
Understanding of Covid-19 protocols and associated cleaning standards.
