Requirements
Applicants must display competency in the post-specific core functions.
Fluent in at least two official South African languages, one of which must be English.
Must be a South African Citizen with no previous criminal or departmental convictions or cases pending.
Applicants will undergo security screening, vetting, and fingerprint verification.
Relevant short courses in cleaning, hygiene, or facility services will serve as an advantage.
Willingness to work shifts and extended hours as required.
Additional Requirements:
A Grade 10 qualification will serve as an advantage.
Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills (able to read and write).
Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment and machinery.
Valid driver’s licence (light motor vehicle) and relevant training will be advantageous.
Core Functions
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene within and around the workplace, including indoor and outdoor areas.
Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, polishing, removing refuse, mopping tiled floors, and vacuuming carpets.
Clean and maintain bathrooms, kitchens, and office areas.
Safekeeping and correct handling of cleaning materials and equipment.
Assist with loading and unloading goods as required.
Provide garden maintenance and basic groundskeeping services.
Wash and clean State vehicles, kitchenware, and utensils when necessary.
