Requirements
- Applicants must display competency in the post-specific core functions.
- Fluent in at least two official South African languages, one of which must be English.
- Must be a South African Citizen with no previous criminal or departmental convictions or cases pending.
- Applicants will undergo security screening, vetting, and fingerprint verification.
- Relevant short courses in cleaning, hygiene, or facility services will serve as an advantage.
- Willingness to work shifts and extended hours as required.
Additional Requirements:
- A Grade 10 qualification will serve as an advantage.
- Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills (able to read and write).
- Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment and machinery.
- Valid driver’s licence (light motor vehicle) and relevant training will be advantageous.
Core Functions
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene within and around the workplace, including indoor and outdoor areas.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, polishing, removing refuse, mopping tiled floors, and vacuuming carpets.
- Clean and maintain bathrooms, kitchens, and office areas.
- Safekeeping and correct handling of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods as required.
- Provide garden maintenance and basic groundskeeping services.
- Wash and clean State vehicles, kitchenware, and utensils when necessary.

- Persons with previous convictions or who retired with severance packages or medical retirement are not eligible.
