Department of Employment and Labour Is Hiring Admin Clerks — 7 Positions, Grade 12 Qualifies

The Department of Employment and Labour has released a second batch of entry-level government vacancies for 2026. Seven positions are available across Gauteng, the Eastern Cape and the Compensation Fund in Pretoria. Most roles pay R237 453 per annum and the minimum qualification for almost all of them is a Matric certificate. No prior work experience is required.
These are permanent government posts, not internships. If you are sitting with a Grade 12 and have been waiting for a genuine public service opportunity that does not require a degree, this batch covers a wide range of admin functions and gives you options based on where you are located.

Administrative Clerk: Management Support Services
You will handle supply chain management, finance, office management, HR administration and records management at your Labour Centre. Matric required.

Administrative Clerk: Support Services IES
You will render administration support, control document movement, provide supply chain and HR support within the Directorate. Matric required.
Accounting Clerk
You will capture financial transactions on BAS, LOGIS and PERSAL systems, maintain records, monitor budget processes, administer petty cash and clear suspense accounts. Matric with Commercial subjects (Accounting, Business Management or Economics) required.
Admin Clerk: Legal Services
You will register objections, litigations and legal opinions, administer court rolls, make arrangements for hearings and prepare payments for tribunal members. Matric required. No experience needed.
Senior Administration Clerk: Human Resource Practices
You will support recruitment and selection processes, provide personnel administration and render general clerical support. Matric required. No experience needed.
Office Aid
You will clean office areas, remove waste, provide meeting support and perform general tasks. ABET Level 4 or Grade 9 is the minimum requirement. No experience needed.
