The Gauteng Department of Health has a Security Officer Level 3 vacancy at Pretoria West District Hospital. What You Will Be Doing

This is an active, on-the-ground security role across the hospital premises. Your duties will include:

• Conducting screening of all people entering and leaving using X-ray machines and metal detectors
• Managing visitor access, confirming appointments and issuing admission cards
• Escorting visitors to relevant venues and locking and unlocking entrances
• Monitoring CCTV in the security control room and identifying suspicious activity
• Managing parking and safeguarding state and private vehicles
• Conducting building and premises patrols and checking for fire hazards and water leaks
• Applying emergency procedures during incidents such as bomb scares or unrest
• Providing key management control and safeguarding vacant land against illegal occupation

Who Can Apply

• Grade 10 or equivalent qualification
• PSIRA Grade E, D and C certificates — all three are required
• Willingness to work shifts and undergo a security clearance process
• Pretoria West residents will be given preference
• Hospital environment experience is an advantage
