eMedia, in partnership with MICT SETA, is offering a 12-month Customer Care Agent Internship hosted at e.tv in Johannesburg North. This is a formal SETA-backed programme running through 2026 and 2027, giving you structured workplace experience at one of South Africa's most recognised television and media brands.

As an intern in this role, you will be the voice of eMedia to customers reaching out about Openview, e.tv and eVOD. It is front-line experience in a real contact centre environment, with measurable targets and direct exposure to how a large media company handles its customer relationships.

What You Will Be Doing

This is a hands-on contact centre role. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Handling and resolving customer queries, complaints and feedback professionally
  • Providing accurate information on Openview, e.tv and eVOD products
  • Managing customer inquiries across multiple communication platforms
  • Logging all customer interactions accurately in the CRM system
  • Meeting daily and monthly productivity targets
  • Managing average call handling time between 4 minutes 30 seconds and 5 minutes
  • Completing product and system assessments with a minimum score of 85%

Who Can Apply

You need to meet all of the following to be considered:

  • National Senior Certificate at NQF Level 4 (Matric) — essential
  • Diploma in Contact Centre Management, Communications, Marketing or Business Management at NQF Level 6 — essential
  • South African citizen under the age of 35
  • Must not have previously participated in or currently be part of a SETA-funded internship
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Intermediate English language proficiency
Please note: If you have already done a SETA-funded internship before or are currently in one, you are not eligible for this programme. This is a hard requirement from MICT SETA and will disqualify your application.
