    Key Responsibilities and Operational Duties

    The successful applicant will assist the facility management unit with daily operational tasks, infrastructure upkeep, and venue preparation. Key responsibilities include:

    • Furniture & Equipment Movement: Safely moving assets and furniture using appropriate trolleys and protective covers after verifying approved Asset Movement forms and job cards.
  • Venue Setup: Assisting facility teams with setting up furniture, layout configurations, and equipment for events and official meetings.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Performing basic daily minor maintenance tasks, recording actions on prescribed forms, and gathering full waste bins for scheduled municipal collection.
  • Defects & Inspection Reporting: Conducting daily inspections of facility zones, completing check sheets, and reporting identified maintenance faults to the Facilities Helpdesk to generate job cards.
  • Monitoring & Support: Monitoring general garden maintenance and facility cleaning, while keeping oversight of external service providers performing duties on-site.
  • OHS Compliance: Strictly adhering to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and safety standards at all times during manual duties.
  • Minimum Job Requirements

    Candidates must meet the following criteria to qualify for consideration:

    • Educational Qualification: ABET Level 4 (General Education and Training Certificate equivalent).
  • Work Experience: No previous experience is required.
  • Core Competencies: Customer focus, client orientation, willingness to support service delivery innovation, problem-solving skills, and a strong teamwork ethic.
