About the Bursary

The Hitachi Kenkijin Bursary Trust supports young South Africans who dare to dream differently by funding studies in Mechanical & Industrial Engineering, Accounting (CA/SA), Human Resources, and Procurement (CIPS). Successful applicants will receive financial support and commit to a one-year agreement.

Who Can Apply?

• South African citizens aged 16–35
• Applicants demonstrating financial need
• Students registered or accepted at a higher education institution
• Current students maintaining a minimum average of 75%

Applicants under 18 require guardian consent. All information will be handled confidentially in line with POPIA.

Application Deadline

17 October 2025 — submit before the deadline to be considered.

How to Apply

Submit your online application through the official Hitachi Kenkijin Bursary Trust form:

Documents to Prepare:

• Certified South African ID copy
• Proof of tertiary registration or acceptance letter
• Latest academic results or transcript
• Proof of residence
• Proof of financial need (e.g., guardian’s income affidavit)
• Recent ID photo (head & shoulders)

Ensure all documents are clear and certified. Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.

Selection Process

Selection is based on academic merit, financial need, and alignment with the bursary’s key study fields. Recipients must commit to a one-year agreement and may receive mentorship or workplace exposure opportunities.
