Pick n Pay is recruiting commerce and science graduates for its Graduate Buyer Programme 2026. Positions are available in both Kensington, Gauteng and Kenilworth, Cape Town — so wherever you are based, there is an opportunity to apply for. This is not a desk-warming programme. Who Can Apply

Pick n Pay is looking for graduates who are commercially sharp and not afraid to engage. To be considered you need:

• A BCom or BSc degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management, Supply Chain or Retail Management
• Strong numerical and analytical ability
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Confidence to work with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Resilience and the ability to keep up in a fast-moving retail environment

What the Programme Covers

The programme is structured around practical learning in the buying and merchandising function. You will work alongside experienced buyers and take on responsibilities that include:

• Hands-on training in retail buying and merchandising
• Contributing to product range planning and pricing decisions
• Involvement in promotional planning and execution
• Supplier negotiations and managing those relationships over time
• Mentorship and coaching from senior buyers and business leaders
