About the Role
This is a unique opportunity for newly qualified B.Eng. Industrial Engineering graduates to gain hands-on experience in one of South Africa’s leading aviation companies. The role reports to the Business Optimisation Manager and offers exposure to a wide range of process improvement and efficiency projects within the airline industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in documenting, analysing, and improving business processes.
- Contribute to projects and process initiatives, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of assigned tasks.
- Conduct as-is analyses and design to-be process improvements for optimisation initiatives.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials to support rollouts.
- Participate in problem-solving sessions and support continuous improvement projects.
- Learn to map processes (simple and complex) using BPMN 2.0 notation.
- Maintain documentation and records on project management tools.
- Communicate progress effectively with stakeholders and update project statuses regularly.
- Gain exposure to relevant software tools to enhance process competence and performance tracking.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
- B.Eng. Industrial Engineering degree (Essential)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
