Professional Nurse (PNA2) General

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
• Diploma/Degree in Nursing (Basic R.683 qualification) or equivalent that allows registration with SANC as Professional Nurse
• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse (proof required)
• Good communication, report writing, facilitation, coordination and organisational skills
• Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide direction and supervision for quality clinical nursing care
• Implement nursing standards, practices and quality indicators
• Practise nursing in accordance with relevant laws and regulations
• Maintain professional working relationships with multidisciplinary teams
• Utilise human, physical and financial resources efficiently
• Deliver comprehensive clinical nursing care within scope of practice
• Act as shift leader when required
• Participate in training, research and CPD activities
• Uphold Batho Pele principles and Patients’ Rights Charter
• Comply with Performance Management and Development System (PMDS)
