    • The Royal Bafokeng Administration (RBA) has advertised 3 permanent vacancies for Assets Protection Officers stationed in Rustenburg, North West.     Purpose of the Role

    The primary objective of an Asset Protection Officer is to safeguard RBN employees, visitors, stakeholders, property, and confidential information against security risks, loss, or unauthorized access. Officers maintain a high-visibility physical presence to prevent illegal activities or policy breaches while strictly enforcing site access controls.

    Key Responsibilities

    Daily operational duties for the Asset Protection Officers include:

    • Access & Gate Control: Monitoring and managing access control points for both pedestrian building entrances and vehicle boom gates.
  • Facility Protection: Safeguarding RBN key facilities, physical infrastructure, property, personnel, and sensitive information against damage or theft.
  • Risk Prevention: Maintaining visible patrols to deter, minimize, and prevent unlawful activities or inappropriate behavior on site.
  • Policy Compliance: Ensuring full adherence to safety, security, and risk-mitigation policies across all RBN locations.
  • Administrative Support: Assisting facility managers with routine administrative security tasks, incident logs, and visitor records.

    • Minimum Requirements

    Applicants must satisfy the following strict requirements to be considered for shortlisting:

    • Education: Grade 12 / Matric (NQF Level 4).
  • PSIRA Certification: Valid PSIRA Registration (Grade C or Grade B).
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ practical experience in the security industry.
  • Vetting: Must have a clear criminal record.
  • Community & Language: Fluent communication skills in English (both written and verbal), along with a letter from Kgosana.
  • Added Advantages: CCTV operation skills, National Key Point (NKP) qualification, valid driver’s license, and valid firearm competency.
