  • The Role: What is a Millwright Apprentice?

    As a Millwright Apprentice at Sasol, you will undergo rigorous training to become a qualified artisan recognized by the National Artisan Moderation Board (NAMB). This role is a "multi-disciplinary" trade, meaning you will learn both electrical and mechanical engineering skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintaining complex plant machinery and mining equipment.
  • Performing hazard identification and task risk assessments.
  • Participating in root cause analyses (RCA) to solve technical failures.
  • Adhering to strict Safety Management Systems (IMS, MBO).
  • Contributing to the overall maintenance strategy of the site.
  • Educational Requirements

    To enter the Sasol artisan pipeline, you must meet these minimum criteria:

    • Qualification: A completed Matric (Grade 12) OR an N3 qualification.
  • Subjects: A pass in Mathematics, Science, and English.
  • Experience: 0 - 1 years (This is an entry-level learning opportunity).
