The Role: What is a Millwright Apprentice?

As a Millwright Apprentice at Sasol, you will undergo rigorous training to become a qualified artisan recognized by the National Artisan Moderation Board (NAMB). This role is a "multi-disciplinary" trade, meaning you will learn both electrical and mechanical engineering skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintaining complex plant machinery and mining equipment.

Performing hazard identification and task risk assessments.

Participating in root cause analyses (RCA) to solve technical failures.

Adhering to strict Safety Management Systems (IMS, MBO).

Contributing to the overall maintenance strategy of the site.

Educational Requirements

To enter the Sasol artisan pipeline, you must meet these minimum criteria:

• Qualification: A completed Matric (Grade 12) OR an N3 qualification.

Subjects: A pass in Mathematics, Science, and English.

Experience: 0 - 1 years (This is an entry-level learning opportunity).
