Requirements Matric / Grade 12 is essential; a suitable post-matric tertiary qualification would be advantageous. 5 – 10 years’ proven sales growth experience within the packaging industry. Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with senior procurement staff. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and QuickEasy is essential. Strong knowledge of the retailer-branded packaging environment. High level of numeracy with the ability to perform forecasting and budgeting. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and lateral thinking skills. Strong administrative, business writing, and presentation abilities. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proven ability to plan, manage, and execute independent sales initiatives. Strong customer focus with a commitment to service excellence. Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver’s license and reliable, presentable transport are essential. Benefits Salary: negotiable. Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve and exceed sales targets. Maintain and grow existing client relationships, ensuring continuous customer satisfaction and retention. Engage and negotiate with senior procurement staff at customer interface level. Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports. Conduct regular market research to identify emerging trends and competitor activities. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of client requirements. Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals. Ensure all administrative processes, proposals, and quotations are completed accurately and on time. Uphold company standards and represent the business in a professional and ethical manner.
