Requirements:
Matric certificate with mathematics and Physical science - Accredited college N3 certificate - Valid, unendorsed driver’s license - Must have a clear criminal record. - Interest in the automotive industry - Basic knowledge of mechanical systems - Strong work ethic and willingness to learn - Good communication skills - Physically fit for heavy work; able to physically complete the duties associated with the role. - Enjoy working with your hands. - Able to work in noisy environments. - Have good eyesight and hand-eye coordination. - Possess very strong problem solving/ trouble shooting - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Description:
e are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice - Level Year 1 at our Ford Kroonstad dealership. As an Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced technicians and gain valuable hands-on experience in the automotive industry. Apprenticeship programme; assisting with the repair of vehicles while working under the supervision of a qualified Technician; fulfilling the MerSETA requirements of the trade, mastering level tests and qualifying. Responsibilities: - Assist senior technicians with various tasks such as diagnosing and repairing vehicles - Learn to use diagnostic equipment and tools - Follow safety protocols and procedures - Maintain a clean and organized work environment - Attend scheduled technical/ level training courses. - To assist with the repair of vehicles in order to obtain practical experience under the supervision/instruction of a Technician. - Prepare thoroughly for level tests in order to qualify within the record time - Perform any other reasonable duties which may be required from time to time.
