An exciting temporary opportunity is available for the position of General Worker (Fixed-Term Contract) at Safal Steel, KwaZulu-Natal. This role will report directly to the Shift Foreman. Job Description Primary purpose of the job To operate equipment in accordance with company standards operating procedures Job Requirements Key Performance Areas •Efficiently and accurately operate equipment according to operating procedures, instructions, and schedules. •Ensure prime quality production in accordance with quality plan •Adhere to operating requirements were assigned to. •Continuously reporting to Production Technician on any observed defects /Deviation, unsafe conditions from the operating parameters or production requirements. •Accurate calibration of gauges during start of shift •Applying appropriate Roll bending pressures to avoid pinching as per SOP •Adhere to safe work practice and good housekeeping (6S) •Physically FIT. •Understanding the requirements of SAFAL business operations
