As a Branch Administrator, you play a vital part in keeping our laboratory and Care Centre running smoothly. You ensure that everyday administrative activities are completed accurately, on time, and with care supporting specimen processing, quality service delivery, and seamless operations. Your work helps create a High Performance Culture by enabling dependable, efficient processes, and it sets the tone for Employee Engagement by ensuring every patient and colleague interaction feels considered, professional, and people‑centred. Through dependable support and clear ownership, you also help empower leaders to focus on clinical excellence, reinforcing Leadership Empowerment and Accountability across the branch.
Skills Requirements:
You bring a thoughtful, thorough approach to routine administrative work and demonstrate care, consistency, and attention to detail in everything you do. You ensure information and documentation are accurate and complete, follow procedures and instructions carefully, and manage your time effectively to meet deadlines in a busy, service‑driven environment. You communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, and you build positive working relationships with colleagues, clinicians, patients, and other stakeholders. You are confident using standard office applications and relevant systems, and you handle confidential data discreetly and responsibly.
When a routine issue arises, you recognise it quickly and take appropriate action or seek guidance; when you see a potential delay, you act early to prevent disruption.
Role Impact:
Your impact is felt every day,by patients, colleagues, and the wider care team. You ensure the backbone of the branch is strong by completing core administrative activities accurately and timeously. This includes capturing information, preparing documents, maintaining orderly records, and handling routine correspondence so that the right information reaches the right people at the right time. You help to shape a welcoming, efficient Care Centre experience by greeting patients, guiding them through requisition forms, logging details in the laboratory information system, conducting benefits checks, answering calls, resolving routine enquiries, and assisting with account and billing questions. You confidently process card or cash payments and generate pro forma invoices where needed, all while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
You also support the smooth flow of laboratory operations. You receive specimens and verify that they match the tests requested, label and batch them according to protocol, and prepare them correctly for onward processing. When required, you help ensure that reports reach doctors or wards promptly and reliably. These actions may feel routine, yet together they are pivotal: they reduce rework, prevent delays, and uphold quality. By taking clear ownership of tasks and collaborating with your team, you enable leadership to focus on decision‑making and service excellence.
