About the Programme

The Road Accident Fund (RAF) is a South African national government entity that compensates victims of motor vehicle accidents. As part of its commitment to youth development and skills transfer, the RAF is offering a structured 18-month Graduate Internship Programme for the 2026 intake.

This programme gives unemployed young graduates real workplace exposure, mentorship, and professional skills needed to compete in the South African job market — in both the public and private sector.

Programme Overview

Duration: 18 Months

Target Group: Unemployed South African graduates aged 18–25

Location: Centurion / Johannesburg, Gauteng

Stipend: Monthly stipend provided

Available Internship Positions

Learning & Development Intern

Description: This stream focuses on human resources, workplace training, and employee development within the RAF. Interns will support learning initiatives, assist with skills development facilitation, and gain exposure to HR systems and processes.

Qualification Required: Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources (HR)

Advantage: ETDP Certificate (NQF Level 4/5) or SDF Certification

General Requirements

All applicants must meet the following criteria:

Must be a South African citizen

Must be between 18 and 25 years of age

Must be currently unemployed

Must hold a qualification matching the chosen internship stream

Must never have been previously employed in the relevant field

Must never have participated in an internship in the relevant field previously

Must not have previously served as an intern anywhere in South Africa

Will be subjected to a security vetting process

Important: If it is later discovered that an applicant previously served as an intern and did not disclose this, they will be immediately disqualified.
