Job description

Clover is hiring 2 permanent Laboratory Assistants at its Queensburgh dairy in Durban. You will prepare microbiological media, chemicals and reagents, clean glassware and equipment, and keep lab records. Reference: CLO261012-3.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4
• Qualification in Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology or Food Science is an advantage
• Basic understanding of quality control
• Fluent business English and basic computer skills
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays

Responsibilities

• Prepare micro media, swabs, chemicals and reagents
• Prepare lactose as per production needs
• Clean glassware, water-baths and equipment
• Follow Good Laboratory Practice and 5S
• Keep inventory records and update product reports
