Duties:
Collection and delivery of linen bags from different wards of the hospital.
Operate various machines in the laundry (i.e. washing, dryer, and pressers).
Iron, fold, count, and pack laundered items and seal linen/clothes bags.
Collect and deliver linen/clothes to wards.
Sort, count, and record dirty linen/clothes.
Tying and labelling of dirty linen bags.
Mend torn linen.
Partake in linen inventory counting and cleaning of linen trolleys.
Ensure that linen delivery checklists are signed by the wards.
Assist in other linen section duties per request of supervisors.
Execute instructions by supervisor/management.
Demonstrate sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) principles and practices.
Perform other duties as allocated by the supervisor.
Be willing to undergo continuous training and development programs.
Attend meetings and training as approved by the supervisor.
Comply with the Performance Management and Development System (Contracting, quarterly reviews and final assessment).
