Requirements
- ✓rade 12 with Maths and Science
- ✓Be in possession of a full N3 qualifications with 4 subjects i.e., Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Science, Electrical Trade theory and Industrial Electronics
- ✓Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the Gold Fields Occupational Health Centre and pass a Heat Tolerance Screening test, and such other tests as may be required to assess the applicant’s suitability for employment
- ✓NOTE: all relevant certificates must be attached to your CV in order to be considered for shortlisting

South Deep Gold Mine is offering aspiring Employees and or prospective Applicants from within our Host Communities interested in pursuing a career in Engineering, the opportunity to enter into a formal Engineering Learnership programme.
To qualify as an Applicant from a Host Community you to:
a) Be a resident of one of our Host Communities being Bekkersdaal, Zuurberkom, Thusanang, Hillshaven, Westonaria, Poortjie, Simunye, Kalbasfontein, Jachtfontein and Westonaria Borwa
b) Successfully passed the 4 x N3 Trade specific subjects as required by both the MQA and South Deep mine and as noted below.
The programme offers practical work-based training and external technical training to enable learners to adapt effectively in the world of work and to qualify as artisans at the end of their programme
