Requirements

✓Must have a qualification in Quality either a National Diploma or Degree
✓Ability to communicate in English (read, write, and speak) – Essential.
✓Age 20 – 28
✓Availability and commitment to complete a full year (12 months) of training – practical time.
✓Intake is merit based and candidates who do not meet the stipulated criteria will not be considered.
✓Applications from individuals who are related to current employees of Special Steels Dunswart will not be considered.
✓Interns will receive a monthly Stipend from the company and will be placed in the company (for the duration of the Internship) in order to apply the practical learning component.
✓Basic knowledge of safety and environmental legislation is beneficial.
✓Computer literate – Proficiency in MS Office.

Special Steels Dunswart is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Metallurgical Department as a Quality Intern. This internship opportunity offers practical work exposure in a dynamic manufacturing environment, providing the foundation for a successful career in quality management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).

Support compliance to ISO 9001 and internal quality procedures.

Compile and update quality documentation (procedures, work instructions, calibrations, registers).

Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.

Quality training and awareness.

General administrative and practical tasks of the functions in the Metallurgical Dept.
