Centre: Mainly office based, with local travel. Lynnwood, Pretoria
Responsibilties:
Secretarial functions for meetings, including compiling of agendas and taking minutes, follow through on secretariat action points
All aspects concerning execution of the South African Seed Certification Scheme - administrative and field monitoring
Technical/administrative functions on specific seed- and industry related subjects
Advising members on legislative aspects impacting on the seed trade
All other related functions concerning the South African National Seed Organizatio
Skills and Competencies:
Ability to plan, organise and execute work, sound judgement and decision-making skills.
Ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure in a fast -paced environment.
Be able to work independently and interact professionally when addressing clients.
Meticulous work habits, attention to detail, excellent reading comprehension and analytical skills.
Ability to develop and maintain an effective record keeping and database systems.
Ability to perform generic administrative tasks, such as minutes etc.
Personality: Driven, self-motivated, team player, ability to work under pressure on multiple tasks, good problem-solving skills.
Candidates who are innovative and passionate about South African agriculture would have an added advantage.
