Requirements:
ASSISTANT : FITTING X1 (GRADING A) Qualifying Criteria : • Grade 10, 11, 12 or equivalent qualification • Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages • Applicant must possess good verbal communication skills • Basic Pump Fitting background will be advantageous • 1-2 years’ experience in an industrialized environment is essential and required • South African Citizenship • Clear Criminal Record
Description:
Responsibilities : • Provide efficient support within the Engineering Pump Fitting Section • Work a cycle or rotation of shifts • Assist Artisan(s) in carrying out their duties efficiently by providing support and carrying tool box, hand tools and other equipment • Responsible for good housekeeping in and around the working place • Ability to disassemble and re-assemble pumps and other associated equipment using hand tools • Participate in all maintenance and breakdowns on both underground and surface pumps • Manage and maintain in area of responsibility in accordance with mine standards, procedures and practices • Adhere to MHSA standards & Gold1’s safety motto : “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely”
