Analytics & Reporting Intern

Job description

We are seeking an Analytics & Reporting Intern to support the delivery of reporting, dashboards, and business insights across sales, lead management, customer operations, and contact centre performance. This will require strong attention to detail, effective communication and a curiosity and eagerness to learn. This role is ideal for an analytically and commercially minded graduate or final-year student that is that is looking to build a career in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Visualisation. The successful candidate will gain practical experience with Microsoft Power BI while working with high-volume operational and customer datasets

Requirements

• Must be a South African Citizen.
• Must have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
• Completed, a degree or diploma in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of databases and SQL.
• Strong interest in analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
• Basic SQL and Excel skills.
• Good analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a data and analytics environment.
• Must have a clear criminal record.
• Must have a clear ITC record.
• Must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
• Must NOT currently be employed or participating in another internship or learnership programme.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Assist with gathering, validating, and analysing data from various business systems.
• Help produce recurring and ad hoc reports for business stakeholders.
• Monitor key operational and sales performance metrics.
• Assist in identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities within business data.
• Support data quality and reporting improvement initiatives.
• Help document business definitions, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
• Work with Data Engineers and business teams to improve reporting processes and data accessibility.
• Learn best practices in dashboard design, data modelling, and business analytics.
