Role Purpose The Data Analyst Intern will be assisting with developing automated assurance and data analytics in the Digital and Technology CRO Office. Automated assurance being the technique of using existing data within a business to provide a view of the control environment. We are looking for an individual who is a self-starter with a genuine passion for data analytics, innovative mind-set and ‘Think out of the box’ characteristics. Reporting to the Head of IT Governance and Automated Assurance, the Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting the development and growth of data analytics capabilities withing the CRO Office with strong collaboration with Group IT and the greater Momentum Group Risk Community.
Requirements
- BCom (Information Systems) or BSc (Computer Science/Information systems) degree preferably honours.
- Relevant Data Analytics certifications (advantageous)
- Relevant coding certification (advantageous)
- Experience
- Some proven experience in data analytics possibly with university project or vacation work.
Responsibilities
- Create PowerBI models and visualisations that provide a view of the control environment.
- Identify, acquire, prepare, and merge data from a large number of business source systems / data sources.
- Build strong relationships with Group Technology to support the acquisition of data from the business source systems / data sources.
- Find innovative ways to access data generated from business-as-usual processes and tools.
- Create visualisations that provide simple and effective management information.
- Combine visualisations from various sources to create a “total picture” of the control environment.
- Assist the in the planning, development, and execution of data analysis procedures to create sustainable and repeatable data analytics and dashboards.
- Be proficient with MS Power BI and other data analytics tools.
