Role Purpose The Facilities Management Intern will support the Group Facilities Management team by assisting with operational, maintenance, project coordination, and facilities-related activities. The role provides hands-on exposure to facilities operations, infrastructure maintenance, contractor coordination, project administration, compliance, and workplace sustainability initiatives. This opportunity is suited for graduates who are looking to build practical experience within Facilities Management, Project Management, Engineering, or related built environment disciplines.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- National Diploma or Degree in Facilities Management, Project Management, Engineering, Built Environment, or related qualification
- Basic understanding of facilities operations, maintenance principles, and project coordination
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Previous internship, practical training, or exposure within facilities, maintenance, engineering, or project environments will be advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Responsibilities
- Assist with the coordination and administration of facilities management activities across company sites
- Support maintenance planning and follow-up on preventative and reactive maintenance tasks
- Assist with facilities inspections to identify maintenance, safety, or operational issues
- Support facilities-related projects, including project tracking, scheduling, and contractor coordination
- Assist with compiling reports, updating records, and maintaining facilities documentation
- Monitor service provider and contractor activities to ensure compliance with company standards and safety requirements
- Assist with health, safety, and compliance initiatives within the facilities environment
- Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives across facilities operations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the Facilities team to ensure efficient service delivery
