General Worker – Housing Rental Management (HOSD135/2026)

Job description

The City of Tshwane's Human Settlements department is hiring a General Worker (job level T1) to clean and maintain its rental housing schemes in Mamelodi. Only basic literacy is required. Requirements

• Basic literacy
• Able to do physical work for long periods
• Cleaning experience is an advantage
• Must pass a criminal record check (fingerprints taken by TMPD at own cost)

Responsibilities

• Clean corridors, stairways, ablutions and communal areas
• Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum and sanitise designated areas
• Empty bins and dispose of refuse
• Clean walkways, entrances, parking areas and grounds
• Report damage, vandalism and unsafe conditions to the supervisor
