IT Desk Support Intern

Job description

MiWay, the direct insurer in the Sanlam group, is offering an IT Desk Support internship in its Desktop Support team at the Kosmosdal office. It is aimed at students and recent IT graduates starting their IT careers. No previous corporate IT experience is required, and all work is done under supervision. MiWay has not published a closing date.

Requirements

• National Diploma (NQF 6) or degree in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, Networking or a related field
• No previous corporate IT experience required
• CompTIA A+/N+, Microsoft or ITIL courses are an advantage (not required)

Responsibilities

• Help users with Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams and OneDrive
• Set up desktops, laptops, mobile devices and printers
• Assist with password resets and account changes under guidance
• Log and update support tickets in Jira Service Management
• Issue, record and prepare IT equipment for reuse
• Help update IT guides and weekly reports
