Valterra Platinum is offering 15 Learner Miner learnership places at Amandelbult (Thabazimbi) for unemployed people from its host communities. The 24–30 month programme combines theory, practical underground training and mentorship, and pays a stipend. Posted 15 Oct 2026.

Requirements

• Must live in Amandelbult host communities and/or be a beneficiary
• Grade 12 with a Bachelor pass (60% Maths Literacy; 50% pure Maths is an advantage)
• South African citizen with valid ID
• Medically fit for mining work
• No criminal record
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Take part in structured theory and practical training
• Complete all learning tasks, assessments and logbooks
• Follow all safety, health and environmental rules
• Gain hands-on mining workplace experience
