Learnership: Long Term Insurance (KZN)

Job description

Discovery is offering a learnership in Durban that leads to the nationally recognised FETC: Long Term Insurance NQF Level 4 qualification, combining structured learning with practical workplace experience at Discovery Health. Learners gain exposure to long-term insurance client servicing, claims, business initiatives and compliance, as well as call-centre work in medical aid servicing, claims, new business and health benefits administration.

Requirements

• Grade 12 with Maths (Level 4, 50%) or Maths Literacy (Level 5, 60%), English (Level 4, 50%) and a 2nd language (Level 4, 50%)
• Between 18 and 25 years of age
• Not studying after Matric and no completed tertiary qualification (an incomplete qualification is an advantage)
• No formal work experience and no previous learnership
• Good written and spoken English and basic MS Excel and Outlook skills

Responsibilities

• Service stakeholders by phone and other channels until queries are resolved
• Service members in a customer-centric way
• Keep up to date with product changes and digital servicing tools
• Meet and exceed service-delivery performance targets
