Role Purpose Momentum Group’s Payroll Team is seeking a Payroll Administrator intern to assist with accurate execution of payroll processes while providing high-quality payroll services that support and enhance the employee experience.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Basic understanding of payroll principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation, regulations, and payroll processes.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and submit all payroll data, including employee earnings, deductions, and related company contributions.
  • Process employee leave, new engagements, status changes, transfers, and terminations.
  • Reconcile payroll-related accounts.
  • Accurately maintain and update employee records on the payroll system, ensuring all payroll documentation is complete and up to date.
  • Ensure the accuracy of information reflected on employee payslips through monthly verification processes.
  • Administer payroll and benefits processes in compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Ensure that monthly errors and omissions on the retirement fund pension file are corrected to facilitate the timely allocation of contributions.
  • Provide payroll-related information and reports to management.
  • Resolve daily ticket items within the agreed SLA on the query management system and follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely resolution.
