Requirements
- ✓Phlebotomy Technician qualification and registered with HPCSA
- ✓Computer literate with Meditech knowledge is advantageous
- ✓Must have a valid Code B driver’s license (manual transmission)
- ✓Phlebotomy experience essential
- ✓Pathology experience is highly advantageous which includes order of draw and running of Point of Care instruments i.e. Hemocue, Stratus & running of arterial blood gas on the machine
- ✓Client-focused with excellent attention to detail
- ✓Adaptability with the ability to co-operate within a team environment
- ✓Displays initiative
- ✓Problem-solving ability
- ✓Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- ✓Compassion/empathy
- ✓Stress resistance and tenacity
- ✓Result-orientated
- ✓A positive attitude & flexible work-style
- ✓Must be fluent in English with an understanding of Afrikaans
- ✓Must be prepared to work shifts, weekends & public holidays
- ✓Must have an acceptable track record/performance record with regard to the technical and behavioural competencies required to perform in this position
