Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Minimum six months cashier/till-operations experience
• MS Office literacy, numerical skills, strong written/spoken English and basic customer service
• Cash register and cash drawer knowledge; processing sales/refunds/payments accurately
• Work retail hours; reliable transport and/or live close to the store
• South African citizenship; clear credit and criminal records
• Honesty, accountability, problem-solving, basic report analysis and time management; third language advantageous

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and report compliments/complaints
• Process purchases, authorised returns/exchanges, accepted payments and loyalty cards
• Control cash flow and safe drops; safeguard confidential takings and passwords
• Obtain approval for voids and price changes; ensure outgoing goods are scanned and paid
• Respond to merchandise queries and follow security procedures
