Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Minimum six months cashier/till-operations experience
• MS Office literacy, numerical skills, strong written/spoken English and basic customer service
• Knowledge of cash registers, cash drawers, sales/refunds/payments; accuracy and attention to detail
• Work retail hours; reliable transport and/or live close to the store
• South African citizenship; clear credit and criminal records
• Honesty, accountability, problem-solving, basic report analysis and time management; third language advantageous

Responsibilities

• Serve customers and report complaints/compliments
• Process purchases, accepted payments, authorised exchanges/returns and loyalty cards
• Manage cash flow, safe drops and confidential daily takings
• Obtain supervisor approval for voids and price changes; protect till passwords
• Ensure outgoing goods are scanned/paid for; identify suspicious behaviour and follow security procedures
