Fixed Term Cashiers – Roodepoort

Job description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is hiring fixed term cashiers for its Roodepoort store. You will support customer service at the point of sale and record customer transactions on Dis-Chem's operating system, process payments, authorised returns and loyalty cards while following cash-handling and security procedures. Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Minimum 6 months' cashier/till operations experience
• Computer literacy (MS Office)
• Sound numerical skills, strong English and basic customer service
• Knowledge of operating cash registers, maintaining cash drawers and processing sales, refunds and payments
• Accuracy, attention to detail, accountability, problem-solving and time management
• Willing and able to work retail hours
• South African citizenship
• Clear credit and criminal records
• Reliable transport and/or residence close to the store
• A third additional language is advantageous
