General Assistant – Northam (External Applications Only)

Cashbuild is recruiting a General Assistant in Northam. This is an active store vacancy open to external applicants, not a talent pool. Duties cover customer assistance, merchandising, shelf-price labels, housekeeping and safe stock handling. Minimum eligibility is Grade 12 without related work experience, OR Grade 10/NQF 3 with one year of related work experience. Applicants need a valid South African ID or work permit, English and the dominant local language, accurate basic calculation skills and willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. Requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with products and enquiries; resolve complaints
• Merchandise stock safely according to layout and planograms
• Maintain correct shelf-price labels
• Keep aisles clear and complete canteen/toilet/shower duty checklists
• Follow OHSA requirements and use safety gear
• Report discrepancies and damaged stock to the store manager
