Woolworths TASTE: Food Assistant Internship

Job description

A 12-month paid internship with Media24's Woolworths TASTE content team, supporting food stylists in Cape Town. The role provides practical experience across advertising, editorial and commercial food shoots, from preparation through production. Interns receive mentorship from experienced stylists and content professionals, opportunities to build a portfolio, and career guidance after successful completion. Applications close 6 November 2026. Preference is given to suitable candidates from designated employment-equity groups.

Requirements

• Completed culinary training and an interest in food styling
• Passion for food, styling, photography or content production
• Strong organisation and basic food-safety/hygiene awareness
• Reliability, including early starts and occasional weekend availability
• Proactive attitude in a fast-paced creative environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble and plate food for photography
• Organise ingredients, equipment and kitchen tools
• Maintain clean work areas and correctly store food
• Assist with recipe documentation, costing and ingredient sourcing
• Support set propping and track supplies
