City of Tshwane Energy and Electricity Business Unit (Bulk Supply Services: Metering and Vending) has 3 General Worker posts, job level T1, reference PWEE772-2026. Placement can be anywhere in Tshwane as required. The post works only on the non-energised electrical distribution network. Estimated remuneration package R252,686 – R289,893 per annum. Requirements

• Ability to perform duties
• Basic literacy
• Relevant experience in an electricity environment is an advantage
• Physically fit and healthy with no back problems
• Willing to work shifts, standby and overtime
• Criminal record check with fingerprints taken by TMPD at own cost
• Willing to be placed anywhere in Tshwane

Responsibilities

• Dig holes and trenches and spread excavated materials
• Sort, load, unload, move, stack and store materials and equipment
• Pack and unpack material and fill containers and shelves
• Trim and cut rocks, concrete and bitumen surfaces
• Transport equipment and materials with wheelbarrows and hand trucks
• Mix, pour and spread concrete, plaster and mortar
• Clean machinery, tools and work sites
