Sasol, South Africa's energy and chemicals giant, is recruiting learners for its Maintenance and Production Learnership in Sasolburg.

This is a 3-year programme that can turn you into a qualified artisan or plant operator. Artisans like fitters and electricians are among the most in-demand skills in South Africa, so finishing a Sasol learnership can open doors at plants, mines and factories across the country.

Which learnership can you choose?

  • Mechanical Fitter: maintain and repair pumps, valves, gearboxes and other plant machinery
  • Electrician: install, test and fix electrical equipment and systems on the plant
  • Chemical Plant Operator: run and monitor the processes that turn raw materials into fuels and chemicals

Minimum requirements

You need one of these:

  • Grade 12 NSC (6 subjects) with Mathematics or Technical Mathematics, English, and Physical Science or Technical Science
  • N3 (6 subjects) with Mathematics, English and Engineering Science

Mathematical Literacy will not meet the Maths requirement.
