Entry-level jobs in South Africa (no experience needed)

This page collects the listings on FirstJobly that explicitly accept no prior work experience, or matric-level entry — general assistants, cashiers, packers, call centre agents, security officers, drivers, cleaners, admin clerks and similar roles. They are the realistic starting point if your CV has no employment history yet.

The screening problem for a first job is narrow and fixable. Most high-volume employers filter on three things: whether you can reliably get to the site, whether you have the one non-negotiable document the role needs (a matric certificate, a valid driver's licence, a PSIRA grade for security work), and whether you can start now. Address those three points explicitly and you clear the filter that removes most applicants.

Entry-level adverts also attract the most scams, precisely because applicants are desperate. Legitimate South African employers do not charge for an application, an interview, training or a uniform deposit, and they do not conduct hiring entirely over WhatsApp from a personal number. If money is requested at any stage, stop.
